About the program
The program is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their drytooling and mixed climbing skills. We will teach you the basics and provide a fun and safe learning experience. If you already have some experience with drytooling, we can help you improve your skills and take your game to the next level!
The duration of the program is two days. On the first day, we will focus on the basics and warming up. On the second day, we will move on to more challenging routes. If you wish, the program can be extended.
During the program, we will stay in the city and trainings will take place at Butakovskiy Waterfall.

We run this program at Butakovskiy waterfall. It is a picturesque place, which is located near Almaty (1.5-2 hours from the city) in the Butakovskiy gorge. The Butakovskiy waterfall (or just Butakovka) beckons outdoor enthusiasts with its scenery and convenient location. The well-defined footpath makes for an easy approach, perfect for a day trip. The climbing terrain at Butakovka is predominantly granite, offering a good overall experience. The location provides great opportunities for climbing during the year. In summer, you can do rock climbing here. There are 19 sport climbing routes ranging from 5c to 8a on the French grading system.
In winter and spring, the waterfall freezes providing excellent opportunities for ice climbing and mixed climbing. Moreover, there are 10 bolted routes for drytooling up to D9 grade, which you can climb from autumn till spring.

We provide special climbing equipment such as ropes, slings, quickdraws. You will need only personal climbing equipment and clothing:

The program is not suitable for beginners. In order to participate, you should have some rock and ice climbing experience. You should be familiar with basic knots and belaying techniques.
