- Changes requested by the participant
Requests to change the program, dates or number of participants after booking are considered individually and depend on availability. Any additional costs caused by the change are paid by the participant.
If the requested change cannot be arranged, the original booking remains valid. If the participant then chooses to cancel, the cancellation terms stated in the Booking the program section apply.
- Cancellation by the participant
A cancellation must be sent in writing. Refunds and transfer options are governed by the conditions stated in the Booking the program section for the relevant type of program.
Failure to arrive, arriving too late to join the program or leaving after the program has started is treated as a cancellation by the participant. Unused services are not refundable.
Safety considerations, including the participant’s physical condition or technical ability, may require changes to the itinerary, schedule, location or climbing objective.
The guide has final authority over all safety-related decisions. A change to the planned route or objective does not entitle the participant to a refund if the program is otherwise provided.
If NewClimb cancels the program before it starts for reasons within our control, the participant may choose either a full refund of all payments received or the transfer of those payments to alternative dates or another program.
- Changes due to weather and unforeseen circumstances
Severe weather, unsafe mountain conditions, natural hazards, access restrictions, border closures or other circumstances beyond NewClimb’s control do not constitute cancellation by NewClimb.
In such cases, NewClimb may change the itinerary, schedule, location or climbing objective, postpone the program, or shorten or terminate it when necessary for safety. Payments are non-refundable.
At NewClimb’s discretion, some or all of the payment may be transferred to alternative dates or another program.
