About the program
Lenin Peak (7,134 m) is a classic choice for a first 7,000-metre ascent and one of the most popular high-altitude peaks in Central Asia. Located in the Pamir Mountains on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, it is one of the five 7,000-metre peaks of the prestigious Snow Leopard Program.
The route combines relatively low technical difficulty with the scale of a full high-altitude expedition. Well-developed camp infrastructure and direct road access to Base Camp from Osh make the logistics simpler than on many other 7,000-metre expeditions in Central Asia.

The itinerary below is based on a 21-day program. A longer schedule can be arranged to add reserve days and provide more flexibility in case of poor weather or other delays. The exact itinerary may be adjusted depending on weather, route conditions and the condition of the group.
- Day 1 — Osh to Base Camp, 3,600 m. Drive to Base Camp in the Achik-Tash valley, approximately 6–7 hours.
- Day 2 — Acclimatization hike, around 4,000 m. Hike in the Petrovsky Peak area and return to Base Camp.
- Day 3 — Acclimatization hike, around 4,000 m. Another acclimatization hike in the Petrovsky Peak area and return to Base Camp.
- Day 4 — Base Camp to Camp 1, 4,400 m. Trek via Travellers’ Pass and across the Lenin Glacier to Camp 1.
- Day 5 — Acclimatization and skills practice. Practice crampon technique, ice axe use and movement in a rope team.
- Day 6 — Yukhin Peak, 5,130 m. Acclimatization ascent of Yukhin Peak and return to Camp 1.
- Day 7 — Rest and additional acclimatization at Camp 1. Recovery and preparation for the first high-altitude rotation.
- Day 8 — Camp 1 to Camp 2, approximately 5,300 m. Early start and ascent across the glacier in rope teams.
- Day 9 — Camp 2 to Camp 3 / Razdelnaya, approximately 6,100 m. Continue to the highest camp on the route.
- Day 10 — Descent to Camp 1, 4,400 m.
- Day 11 — Descent to Base Camp, 3,600 m.
- Day 12 — Rest at Base Camp.
- Day 13 — Rest at Base Camp and preparation for the summit rotation.
- Day 14 — Base Camp to Camp 1, 4,400 m. Begin the summit rotation.
- Day 15 — Camp 1 to Camp 2, approximately 5,300 m.
- Day 16 — Camp 2 to Camp 3, approximately 6,100 m. Prepare for the summit attempt.
- Day 17 — Lenin Peak summit, 7,134 m. Early start for the summit attempt and descent back to Camp 3.
- Day 18 — Descent to Camp 1.
- Day 19 — Descent to Base Camp.
- Day 20 — Reserve day. Additional day in case of poor weather or other delays.
- Day 21 — Base Camp to Osh. Drive back to Osh. End of the program.

Good physical fitness and endurance are essential. Participants should be prepared for long days in the mountains, including up to 10 hours of movement and significant altitude gain.
Previous high-altitude or mountaineering experience is not required, but it is a strong advantage. Experience using crampons, an ice axe and moving in a rope team on glaciated terrain is also useful. These skills will be reviewed and practiced during the expedition.
Participants should be prepared to carry their personal equipment between high camps. High-altitude porters can be arranged at additional cost if needed.
Advanced rock or ice climbing skills are not required.
