Big Wall
Big Wall climbing - A long sustained sheer exposed rock climb with at least 6–10 pitches (over 300–500 metres), that typically takes over a day (if not many days), and requires the hauling of food, water, sleeping bags, and the use of portaledges.
About the program
This is a program for people who are preparing for their first Big Wall ascents. You will learn efficient ways to ascend fixed ropes, haul bags, assemble and install a portaledge on a wall. After completing the course, you will feel more confident on the routes and expand your knowledge and skills in technical mountaineering.
The techniques covered in this course are an essential part of safe and confident alpine climbing. This program is a part of our "Mountaineering course".
